Ingredients
Dough:
- 2 cups of flour
- 1/2 cup of water
- 1 tablespoon of olive oil
- 1 teaspoon of salt
Filling:
- 300 grams of minced meat
- 2 tomatoes, grated
- 1 large onion, grated
- 2 tablespoons of tomato paste
- 2 tablespoons of pepper paste
- 2 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1/2 bunch of parsley, finely chopped
- 1 teaspoon of red pepper flakes
- Salt
- Black pepper
For Topping:
- Lemon slices
- Lettuce leaves
- Parsley
Instructions:
- In a mixing bowl, knead together the flour, water, olive oil, and salt until the dough is smooth and elastic, for about 10 minutes.
- Divide the dough into 6 equal pieces and roll each piece into a ball. Roll out each ball on a floured surface thinly.
- Prepare the filling by mixing minced meat with grated tomatoes, onion, tomato paste, pepper paste, minced garlic, finely chopped parsley, red pepper flakes, salt, and black pepper.
- Spread the filling evenly over the rolled-out dough.
- Bake the lahmacuns in a preheated oven at 200°C for about 10-15 minutes, or until the edges are lightly browned.
- Serve the baked lahmacuns with lemon slices, lettuce leaves, and parsley.
